Chapter Safety Programs
Beginning in 2005, the Chapter Safety Officer, at the request of the Primary Officer’s, put together a H.O.G. Rider’s Edge Group Riding Safety Program. That program is being continued for 2006, along with a new Passenger Riding Program. The Group Riding Safety Program is not so much to teach you how to ride, but give riders an incentive to join the Chapter on Group Rides. To show the rider how your local H.O.G. Chapter rides, together, safely. The Passenger Riding Program is intended to teach, acquaint, refresh, and instill confidence in passengers that will accompany the rider along their journey. The purpose of both programs is to enhance your ability to enjoy the riding experience and “Ride and Have Fun!”

I would like thank those members that took part in these two program. We hope you got as much out of it as we learned from you, and look forward to sharing the road with you and future experiences of “Riding and Having Fun!”

State Motorcycle Laws

All of us can agree that the General Rules of the Road apply to all the states. However, there are laws that are peculiar to different states, and for motorcycles. Below is a compilation of the basic laws as they apply to motorcycles. Remember, when leaving the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, check the individual states that you might be traveling through at http://www.hog.com. (The states listed are frequently traveled by members of our Chapter.)
